Associate Network Engineer - Hybrid schedule in Nashville, TN
Pay Range: $25-40/hr
Contract Duration: 6 months + possible full-time conversion

Join our client's Technical Services Team as an Associate Network Engineer. Our client is dedicated to connecting YOU to highly sought-after opportunities. The ideal candidate for this role will be highly analytical, have strong networking skills, and provide support to the userbase while serving its patients and business partners.
THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU
As an Associate Network Engineer, you will:
- Install, test, and support our client's Meraki-based network within the McKesson Enterprise
- Work with other vendors and technologies such as Cisco, F5, Aruba, InfoBlox, and Palo Alto
- Possess a strong knowledge of TCP/IP and public cloud networking constructs (GCP, Azure, AWS)
- Provide after-hours network escalation support as needed
- Develop a deep understanding of the network space and find ways to add value to our client's goals
- Provide strong customer service and facilitate collaboration between project teams and IT partners
- Assist other IT departments on application troubleshooting
- Attend meetings as necessary to provide network perspective and gather action items for the Network team
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a related IT field
- Knowledge of overall IT functionality, interoperability, and requirements
- Understanding of the OSI model and subnetting
- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills to build/maintain ongoing business relationships
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly and apply knowledge to day-to-day functions
- Self-motivation and a focus on problem-solving
- A+, CCENT, Network+, or equivalent certificate is desired but not required
- Knowledge of healthcare and/or clinical research is a plus
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bonus qualifications that would make a candidate a star include:
- Knowledge of firmware, code levels, and patching
- Ability to rapidly learn and evaluate new tools or technology
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A strong focus on customer satisfaction and quality
- Degree or equivalent experience in the IT field
