You will use your deep technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and ability to hit the ground running to solve complex problems. You will build and interface with services that scale to millions of requests and deployed globally.
As a tier-1 service, we value availability of our customers features above all else. Primary responsibilities include developing monitoring solutions, troubleshooting/debugging and implementing the fix for internally developed code, performing queries, improving our systems that gather metrics on our features, updating, tracking and resolving technical challenges. Responsibilities also include working alongside development on software projects, updating/enhancing our current software, automation of support processes and documentation of our systems.
THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU
- Design, develop, implement, test, document and deliver large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, tools, systems and services using multi-threaded programming, distributed programming in Java and C++, JDBC, SQL, Object Oriented design and design patterns, Oracle, and middleware messaging systems in a Linux environment.
- Assist in gathering and analyzing business and functional requirements, and translate requirements into technical specifications for robust, scalable, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture.
- Own delivery of entire piece of system or application and serve as technical lead on complex projects using best practice engineering standards.
- Produce comprehensive, usable software documentation.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
-MS in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field preferred
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise software development
- Expertise in multi-threaded programming and distributed programming in Java or C++ on Linux
- Mason, Perl CGI, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, UNIX/LINUX.
- Experience in JDBC, SQL, and Object-Oriented design and design patterns.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) or new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
