This position is your chance to contribute to the safety and well-being of our global community, with a focus on youth and issues such as suicidality and self-injury (SSI), eating disorders, body image, and mental health. As part of our team, you will collaborate closely with diverse experts and team members to shape policies, technology, partnerships, and support resources that truly matter.THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU Gain an in-depth understanding of the global landscape surrounding youth well-being, particularly in areas like suicide, self-injury, and eating disorders. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to proactively address mental health and well-being concerns, especially those affecting young people. Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy, working alongside regional policy teams, to oversee policies and products related to youth well-being, with a specific focus on SSI and eating disorders/body image. Provide subject matter expertise to various Meta teams, including product, operations, integrity, research, and policy, to ensure our platforms foster mental health and well-being. Offer guidance and support to teams working on safety, mental health, and well-being, including the development of content, product policies, tools, operational responses, programs, resources, and presentations. Contribute to the formulation of policies governing user, advertiser, and developer behavior, with a special emphasis on safety, health, and well-being. Lead the creation of external-facing guidance, responses, supports, resources, and presentations related to SSI, eating disorders, body image, mental health, and well-being.KEY SUCESS FACTORS Over 10 years of experience in mental health, well-being, and technology. Demonstrated ability to build consensus and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proven analytical thinking and the ability to operate independently, staying organized and structured. Experience in growing and managing strategic partnerships, with excellent presentation skills. A track record of delivering results under tight deadlines, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and providing concise and business-focused advice.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: An advanced degree in mental health, public health, or health policy. Cross-functional experience working with policy, legal, operations, programs, and product teams. Prior involvement in rapidly growing and fast-paced environments. Collaboration with civil society organizations and international institutions worldwide. Involvement in public policy, advocacy, or service delivery in the realm of mental health and technology safety.
