Tell us a little bit about yourself...

My name is Nattaya Piriyawiboon. I’m originally from Bangkok, Thailand, but I’m also a Canadian.

How did you come to work with Advantis Global?

When I was in Canada and they contacted me via LinkedIn, whether I was interested in working as a Linguist (a Computational Linguist), which is something that I’ve never worked as before because my previous career was always in teaching. I have been a teacher for 20+ years. And so this is a totally new environment for me, which I wasn’t quite sure if I was a good fit. But Advantis assured me that they saw me, they saw my profile, and they knew that I could do it.  

What was the hiring experience like working with Advantis Global?

I was working with a team of recruiters who prepped me to answer questions with the interviewers. It made me feel so relaxed. It just encouraged me to do something that I’ve never done before which was something that I’ve never got before with other recruiters. So I was very, very impressed. I am still, now. Super professional, everyone! Which makes me feel like I have to step up.  

I’m talking about the interview process. You guys prepped me so well that I know how to answer the interviewers' questions. How to answer hard questions and how to be honest and accept what I don’t know, which I never knew how to deal with that kind of question before. So it was really, a super warm experience. Very encouraging. I would recommend anyone to work with Advantis.

How would you describe your current role?

I like the job. I hope they like me, haha!  

When you start working in something you’ve never done before, you feel super insecure. And I felt insecure. So I had to work hard. But meanwhile, Advantis managers always contacted me and encouraged me. They make me feel like they’re always there if I ever need anything.  

And I am quite problematic because at first at the beginning, I was in Canada. But due to family reasons, I had come back to Thailand and I was like “Oh no, not again! Not another problem! Now I’m really going to have to lose this job”. So I was honest with Advantis. Like okay, if you really need to let me go because I cannot be in America, then I can accept it. And they worked their magic again and they said “Fine, you can bring your computer and work in Thailand. It's fine”. So I’m really thankful for meeting people at Advantis. Yes. I don’t know how to express my gratitude, but I’m really, really grateful.
