ABOUT THIS FEATURED OPPORTUNITY
The Data Infrastructure Engineering team is responsible for providing data as an asset to the entire organization, and creating a streamline of processing power to allocate the data to its proper destination. This team’s main responsibility is to understand the use cases in which data engineers desire to use the tools and services that were created to make the data streaming process more efficient, and to support the process as a whole.

THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU

The Data Streaming Architect will be brought on to build a brand new streaming data pipeline platform. Majority of this role will be focused on working with the Engineers to come up with the entire design of how to build this streaming data pipeline platform that is simple and reliable. There will be a lot of design work involved. An ideal candidate will be an expert in design and architecture using Apache Flink, a great collaborator, and a seasoned programmer.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

  • 7+ years of experience building scalable data pipelines using Apache Flink and Kafka, with experience providing the settings and configurations for streaming libraries and an understanding how the use case should work in this configuration
  • Strong Design and Architecture background including:   Prototyping, Data Pipeline set up, Scaling the amount of data, Seasoned programmer in any language
  • Nice to have:  Experience working with Petabytes of data, Hadoop administration experience, and a Data Structure and Algorithm background.
