Software Engineer V

ABOUT THIS FEATURED OPPORTUNITY 

Duration:  6 months (extensions up to 24 months, conversion to FTE possible)
Location: 100% remote in the following locations –

• San Francisco, CA
• Los Angeles, CA
• Denver, CO
• Houston, TX
• San Diego, CA

We are looking for a Software Engineer V who will support building VR applications on upcoming hardware. The ideal candidate should be proficient with React Native, Android Native (Java), Native (C++), and have experience with backend development. 

THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain VR applications on HMDs and upcoming hardware devices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement features that meet business requirements.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in React Native, Android Native (Java), and Native (C++).
• Develop and maintain backend systems.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues.
• Continuously improve software development processes and practices.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS 

Minimal Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in software development, ideally in Android development.
• Professional experience in Java programming.
• Professional experience in C/C++ programming. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

 
Preferred Qualifications:

• AR/VR development experience. 
• Experience in React Native development.
• Experience with OpenGL.
• 5+ years of related experience preferred, but not required.
