THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU

• Develop and deploy end-to-end test software including test sequence, test plans, and equipment testing interface, and create specifications
• Develop and apply advanced methods, theories, and research techniques for algorithms development
• Designs, implements, and tests own algorithms with connected audio hardware.
• Design statistical models and algorithms for signal classification and signal manipulations
• Design statistical models and algorithms for signal classification and signal manipulations
• Synthesize algorithm needs and designs for customer requirements and interface with UI and software developers.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

• Experience with audio system design include Audio Stack, analog and digital audio processing, CODEC software design, ADCs and DACs software design, knowledge in analog and digital microphones and microphone’s arrays requirement, knowledge of speakers’ design, and experience working on smart OP-amplifier software.
• Candidate must have prior knowledge of audio testing and required to have speakers and microphones test understanding parameters setting, include analyzing and calibrating soundcards, speakers, and microphones.
• Understand signal control and signal analysis in time domain and frequency domain
• Has knowledge working with audio waveforms signals (time and frequency domains), good understanding of audio harmonics, signal power rating, Loudness and noise rating, Fourier transform, Filtering design, signal equalization and signal analysis, able to execute ideas in C, MATLAB and Python and create windows based executables, in addition to working with DSP building blocks, and experience accounting for runtime speed and latency.
• Good understanding of signal analysis software knowledge with designing audio DSP functions to control audio and waveforms signals.
• Experience using MATLAB, LabView, Python, JMP or other languages to interface with audio hardware and process data for visualization and analysis
• Intimate understanding of end-to-end analog and digital signal path in an audio hardware device and its components including transducers, ADC, DSP, DAC, and amplifier
• Demonstrated experience in designing and performing audio tests in Anechoic environments using audio lab equipment such as B&K, GRAS, reference equipment such as speakers and microphones, and Audio testing equipment, and audio analyzing software.
• Experience with MEMS microphone control and integration into audio systems, including acoustic and electrical considerations.
• Good understanding and knowledge on how to estimate loudness and loudness rating of a sound source, broad band signals and narrowband noise and tonal content include stationary sounds, or arbitrary non-stationary time-varying sounds.
• Experience with object-oriented programming in C# and C++ or other languages that enable designing fast performing algorithm to control audio signals.
• Experience dealing with UI design and development for large data visualization
• Ability to manage projects autonomously.

Basic Skills:

• Good communications skills
• Experience with common audio digital and analog devices interface
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues found with software
• Design and improve software performance and write optimized and clean code
• Experience working with audio analyzers and oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other audio test equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a team player, as part of a local and globally distributed team.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, mathematics, or related field, and MS degree in computer or electrical science is preferred.
• 5 – 7 yrs. of software or firmware development experience.
